ECM’ facilities and general operation is located on Griffin Road in the King Bay Industrial Estate, of the Dampier Supply Base at the Port of Dampier, Burrup Peninsula, Pilbara Region, in the north west of Western Australia. The location is well suited to service the Resources Developers, Industries and Government Infrastructures established in the Region. The strategic location of ECM’s operation in the King Bay Industrial Estate of the Dampier Supply Base adds a significant competitive advantage by reducing transit time to alternative facilities and ensuring the highest possible availability and reliability.
ECM is in the process to develop industrial land, of about 32,000m2 known as ‘Block 314’, in the King Bay Industrial Estate, in order to establish an expanded industrial facility for its growing operations in Karratha and Pilbara Region. The facility will provide a workshop, an office, as well as an extensive storage and laydown area. The Office Space is fully serviced and the Workshop is equipped with an overhead crane of 10 tonnes capacity with a height of 8 metres under the hook. The facility also comprises welding and machining services.
ECM conducts its administrative activities at its Perth office, and intends to widen its operation by established an additional industry facility in Broome in the Kimberley Region of north west Western Australia.
The Dampier Supply Base is strategically located on the waterfront in Western Australia’s major oil and gas precinct. The first phase of a major upgrade was completed in May 2002 and the base has seen continuous development and improvement since that time. The fundamental concept of the Supply Base development was to provide a multi-user facility that could service the range of operators (Resource Developers & Service Providers) working on the Burrup Peninsula and Pilbara Region. The concept has proven successful and a core group of Resource Developers (Oil, Gas, Salt & Iron Ore) and the respective service Providers working out of the base facilitating and supporting, drilling, processing, construction and maintenance. The major advantage of the Dampier Supply Base is the wharf facility is the effective receiver and delivery of material, goods and products, as well as the service of offshore operations. With many of the cargoes being extremely time critical, the seamless transition provides significant benefits in terms of readiness, efficiency and cost.
The Dampier Supply Base forms part of the Port of Dampier. The Port is administered by the Dampier Port Authority, a Western Australian Government Organisation.
